The Weekly Roundup #3 The One With The Healthkick

After a wild weekend of socialising that just about killed me, including only 8 hours sleep from Friday to Monday, it's safe to say that I'll be spending most of my evenings in bed recovering this week, more than likely accompanied by Netflix. Yes, I jumped on the Netflix bandwagon. I've been tagging on with someone elses account for a few months now, and I've actually fallen in love with it, so I decided to jump onboard the band wagon myself and invest. I'm fully addicted, although, I've not yet started Breaking Bad. I'm currently in the middle of finishing Archer and Arrested Development. If like me, you're a fellow Netflixee, recommendations would be most welcome.

Some of you may or may not know that anxiety is something I have suffered with for a number of years now. It's a common factor found in many people, I definitely am not alone. But last week saw some tough challenges, probably some of the toughest I've faced in a while. Expectant of my anxiety to rocket and take me off on one, I was prepared for the worst. Unnecessarily so. I sit here typing away proud of myself for staying calm and not over thinking things and being able to control my thoughts. I think I'm finally getting to grips with reigning in the negative thoughts and swapping them for reading a lovely book or catching up on the odd TV programme.

60% of my week was spent in my running attire. A lovely image for you all. But my little legs have a run a total of 12K in the last 7 days. To some, a menial number, but to me, a great achievement, for powering through and keeping on track. More often than not, it's easy to sack off the exercise and spend an evening engrossed in Netflix instead, but I've said no to the demons of temptation, and I feel so much better for it. I'm hoping my motivation won't drain out anytime soon. Tomorrow see's the beginning of Week 4 of my training, getting harder and faster, but, I am determined to make a change in my body. I've not yet seen results, but I feel a lot healthier in myself, and that's enough for me.

  2. I've just realised how unfit and unhealthy I am so I've started the gym, so your 12 k certainly doesn't seem like nothing to me, keep it up :)
